Kozyrev and Fuller confirming the grid from outside, and S.K. Thoth as living practitioner.
Independent arrivals at the same geometry
A pataphysical model is strengthened, not threatened, by other people arriving at its shape from completely different roads. This closing book gathers two such arrivals: a Soviet astrophysicist measuring rotation as a physical medium in a laboratory, an architect-philosopher finding the same icosahedron in the geometry of maximum structural efficiency, and a touring performer who found a riftline node under Central Park without ever having read a word of theory about it.
Nikolai Kozyrev’s torsion field research --- the experimental investigation of time as a physical medium with measurable properties that respond to rotation --- provided the physical vocabulary for what the system needed to describe. Kozyrev’s finding that left-handed and right-handed rotation produce measurably different effects on local physical systems mapped directly onto the Levogyre/Dextrogyre distinction. The chronon field as a torsion phenomenon. The phase-lock as a forced dextrogyre rotation of what should be a levogyre flow. Kozyrev did not know about Atlantis or Earth Pillars. He was measuring the physical substrate of everything the system describes.
Buckminster Fuller’s synergetics --- the geometry of maximum efficiency, the principle that nature solves problems through minimum energy and maximum flow, the geodesic dome as an architectural expression of Regular system geometry --- provided the structural foundation for understanding why the icosahedron was the Earth’s natural chronon distribution geometry. Fuller understood that the universe builds with the same geometric principles at every scale. The system takes that insight further into consciousness, mythology, and civilizational theory. Fuller stayed largely in the physical and architectural domain. The system takes the same principles into territory he didn’t map.
S.K. Thoth --- performance artist, composer, and creator of the Festad solopera --- was encountered in Central Park in 2007 and proved to be one of the most directly catalytic influences on the practical dimension of the system. Thoth performs what he calls prayformance: a fusion of original violin composition, spinning dance, percussion from bells and chimes worn on the body, and singing in a constructed language of his own invention --- the language of the Festad, a mythological world he has been developing since childhood. His practice is not entertainment with spiritual overtones. It is a sustained ritual technology that operates simultaneously at the linguistic, musical, kinesthetic, and spatial levels.
The specific location of Thoth’s primary New York performance --- the Angel Tunnel beneath Bethesda Terrace in Central Park --- is not incidental. The tunnel is one of the most acoustically resonant spaces in the city, a vaulted stone structure whose proportions create standing wave patterns that concentrate sound energy at specific nodes. The tunnel sits within what the system identifies as a significant riftline corridor running through the eastern park, near Cleopatra’s Needle --- a 3,500-year-old Aswan granite obelisk whose anomalous weathering rate in New York, documented by Egyptologists, is consistent with the kind of chronon stress that accumulates at an active riftline node operating within a phase-locked geometry. Thoth did not choose this location through theoretical analysis. He was called there. The riftline found its practitioner.
Walking back with Thoth to the subway after performances, in conversation about language, music, the nature of the constructed world of the Festad, the idea of an infinite language that could express what ordinary language cannot --- these conversations were a direct catalyst for the infinite language project that has been an active thread of the Work ever since. The encounter with a living practitioner of riftline maintenance technology --- someone doing it without the theoretical framework but doing it correctly and persistently and at considerable personal cost, having instruments broken, having the park services repeatedly attempt to shut down the practice --- demonstrated that the system was describing something real that people could feel and were compelled to do even without a language for why.
The Spirit Catcher that opens and closes each prayformance traces its lineage to Darrell DeVore (1939—2005), a San Francisco experimental musician and instrument builder who developed the original bipyramid wind wand form in the city’s free-music scene. Thoth encountered DeVore’s instrument tradition before relocating to New York in 1999 and developed the Spirit Catcher from it --- adding the foldable bipyramid geometry and integrating it as the formal ritual boundary marker of the prayformance. The instrument’s full lineage runs from DeVore back through the bullroarer tradition to the Paleolithic, a continuous 20,000-year thread of riftline opening technology that the SF music scene and then the NYC prayformance tradition kept alive. Thoth calls his global touring practice a Walkabout, reaching intuitively for the same conceptual framework that the Australian First Nations songline tradition uses. This is not appropriation but recognition: the same functional dynamic independently perceived and named with the closest available word. Thoth and Lila’Angelique now live in Ubud, Bali --- one of the most significant riftline nodes on the planet --- continuing the practice at a location where it is less actively suppressed than at the Angel Tunnel. Their work can be found at skthoth.com and is worth seeking out as one of the clearest living examples of what levogyric performance practice looks like when operating at full expression.
