Why the chronon model doesn't need scientific verification to be operationally valid.
The chronon model does not need to be scientifically verified to be operationally valid. This is the pataphysical principle stated precisely: an imaginary solution is valid if it accurately describes the operational reality and generates useful predictions. Whether the chronon is “really real” in the sense that a proton is really real is a question for physics departments working at the edge of quantum mechanics and temporal dynamics. Whether it works as a model is answerable from practice. Practice says yes.
This atlas makes no claim to be science. It claims to be accurate. The map is not the territory. But a map that keeps correctly predicting where the songline-keepers, the obelisk-builders, the bullroarer-spinners, and the touring violinists will independently converge is a map worth using --- cartography incomplete, imaginary solution intact.
